Aunt Lolly's Shrimp Creole (Aunt Lolly) 1-2 Cups peeled raw shrimp 5-6 Tbsp. flour 5 Tbsp. bacon grease or oil 8 oz. can tomato sauce or tomato paste to 1 can water 1 medium chopped onion 2 stalks chopped celery small amount bell pepper 1 Tbsp. seafood seasoning 1 Tbsp. sugar salt pepper | Mix the flour and bacon grease or oil and brown. Combine tomato sauce or paste, onion, celery and bell pepper in blender and blend. Add mixture to browned flour mixture. Add shrimp. Add enough water to keep from sticking Add salt and pepper to taste. Add seafood seasoning and sugar. Let simmer until thickened and shrimp are done. (about 30 minutes) Serve over rice. |
