Mexican Cornbread
(Mother)

1 cup self rising cornmeal
1/2 cup self rising flour
1/3 cup cooking oil
1 Tbsp sugar
1 cup cream style corn
rinse corn can with 1/2 cup water and add to mix
2 eggs
1 small onion (chopped)
3/4 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
1-3 jalapeno peppers (chopped fine)

Mix all ingredients well. Put in very hot large heavy iron skillet. Bake 450 degrees until done.
